September 29th is another fifth Wednesday in the , but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any quality comic picks releasing on this New Comic Book Day.

Check out this week’s comic picks and be sure to visit your local comic shop.

Top Pick of the Week

Joshua Williamson has been writing a lot of stuff at DC as of late. By far the best of these books has been Robin. Williamson’s story of Damian Wayne’s trek to redemption has been great. In Robin #6, the Lazarus Tournament begins and the ultimate prize – immortality – awaits the winner. But there’s more than just the tournament going on an our favorite Wayne offspring is determined to figure out what it is.

Our next favorite of the comic picks for September 29th is Inferno #1 from Marvel Comics. A lot of questions have still been left unanswered since Jonathan Hickman introduced readers to the new world of Krakoa and its mutant inhabitants in the House of X/Powers of X event. Now as Hickman prepares to exit as the Head of X at Marvel, he begins to answer some of these questions. If you’ve been waiting to see how things end, now is the time to find out.
