We’re back and it’s a new week. That can only mean one thing. It’s time to reveal our latest picks for this upcoming New Comic Book Day!!! We have 12 books on our list this week. DC Comics represent half of that list. This week’s picks include a few new releases. And one other comes to an end. With with that being said, check out our comic picks for June 21, 2023 below and visit a comic shop near you.
Our Top Picks
Kicking things off in our list for our comic picks for June 21, 2023, we have the final issue of Superman #5 from Joshua Williamson and Jamal Campbell at DC Comics. It’s hard to see the quirky Jimmy Olsen with a girlfriend. It’s even weirder that this girlfriend is none other than Silver Banshee. How will that play out with the Man of Steel? And there’s an ending that’s really unexpected, but not surprising considering where the story has been going.
Next up, we have Rogue Sun #13 from Ryan Parrott and Abel at Image Comics. Dylan is no longer in control of Rogue Sun or himself. As he tries to adjust, a new threat arrives in New Orleans. Can he regain control before it’s too late?
Then we have Nightwing #105 from Tom Taylor and Bruno Rendondo also at DC Comics. In Nightwing #87, the creative duo presented readers with a comic that told a story in one continuous image. It was an awesome piece. Now, the duo presents a story in the day and life of Dick Grayson – from his point of view. We now get to see what Nightwing sees. Hold on tight, readers.
And Finally (for Theo)…
Finally, we have a new series from Dynamite Entertainment. Victory #1 spins off from the Vampirella series spearheaded by Christopher Priest. David F. Walker and Brett Weldele take the reigns of this series. It looks a who the former Victoria Harris has been up to since the pages of Sacred Six. As always, Dynamite produced some great variant covers of this first issue.
As always, check back here next week at the Comic Book Spot for more picks & news.
