Comics Picks for March 27, 2024
Top Comic Picks for March 27, 2024
Kicking things off in our list for our comic picks for March 27, we have the Duke #4 from Joshua Williamson and Tom Reilly over at Skybound/Image. After having a gun pointed to his head by the Baroness, how can Duke and the other Joes escape the onslaught from Major Bludd’s forces? Will he be able to follow up on what’s going on at M.A.R.S. and the giant robot that almost killed him?
Next up is Batman: The Brave and the Bold #11 over at DC Comics. To be clear, this series is not the best. However, this issue has two things going for it. One is the Batman/Maps story from Karl Kerschl. The Artemis story from Delilah Dawson is decent as well. Secondly, this isn’t Batman: Urban Legends, which was not good at all.
Then we have Ultimate Spider-Man #3 from Jonathan Hickman and Marco Checchetto over at Marvel Comics. Last issue, Peter’s daughter found out he was the monster she once feared. But apparently she isn’t the only one who is going to learn Peter’s identity. Plus, look out for the new hero duo in Spider-Man and the Green Goblin.
And Finally (for Theo)…
Finally, we have a new series from DC Comics with Primer #1 from writer Jennifer Muro and artist Gretel Lusky. I can’t explain why I opened this when looking at reviews from DC for this week. Needless to say, I am happy I did. This is just a feel good story that is truly an all ages story. If that is something you’re into, then I highly recommend Primer #1.
As always, check back here next week at the Comic Book Spot for more picks & news.
