It’s a new week and that can only mean one thing. It’s New Comic Book Day and it’s time to reveal our comic picks for March 20, 2024. We have about the same number of books again this week. Last week’s slate of books all delivered in what one might expect. This week, things are no different. This week, our top pick is taken by Marvel Comics, something that doesn’t happen all that often. Comic Picks for March 20, 2024
Kicking things off in our list for our comic picks for March 20, 2024, we have the Resurrection of Magneto #3 from Al Ewing and Luciano Vecchio over at Marvel Comics. As Marvel takes us through this whole Fall of X saga, making its way to another reset in the X-Men universe, this deep dive into the relationship between Magneto and Storm as she attempts to bring him back from the dead has been most intriguing. Now there’s a new player intent on keeping Magneto where he is – dead.
Next up, we have Wonder Woman #7 from Tom King and Guillem March at DC Comics. Clark and Diana are trying to decide what gift they can get for Bruce – a man who has everything – for his birthday. To get their answer, they travel off-world – waaayy off-world. This issue could have easily been the top choice for the week.
Then we have U & I #2 from J. Michael Stracynski and Mike Choi at AWA Studios. Last issue, we were introduce to the mysterious “U,” the Reborn who seeming has super abilities unlike others. We’re also introduced to the downtrodden Isabelle, a Reborn with no special abilities, who finds herself without a home. Now, they introduce themselves to each other. Little do they know, that they’re about to become targets. The Resistance Universe rolls along.
And Finally…
Finally, we have Cobra Commander #3 from Joshua Williamson and Andrea Milana over at Skybound Image. As the Energon Universe expands, Cobra Commander continues his journey to learn the secrets of the alien energy source. But what happens when he learns that he isn’t the only one who is aware of Energon’s presence on the planet. Can he beat them or does he join them?
