It’s a new week and that can only mean one thing. It’s time to reveal our latest picks for this upcoming New Comic Book Day!!! We have a light number of books in our list this week, but they’re all very good. Last week’s slate of books were plentiful. This week, there are only six titles. And for the first times, there are no picks in our list from DC Comics – none. With with that being said, check out our comic picks for February 28, 2024 below and visit a comic shop near you.

Comic Picks for February 28 – Our Top Picks
Kicking things off in our list for our comic picks for February 28,2024, we have the latest installment in Joshua Williamson’s Duke mini-series with Duke #3 over at Skybound/Image. The Energon Universe is everything I expected it to be in terms of great storytelling. But I never thought that Williamson’s take on the beloved Joe leader would be this good. And now, The Baroness joins the fray.
Next up we have Avengers: Twilight #3 from Chip Zdarsky and Daniel Acuña over at Marvel Comics. After several stunning surprises in issue #2, including the Skrulls involvement in everything, we now see Steve Rogers reaction to finding out Tony Stark is still alive. Is there any he can save his old friend from aboard The Raft. Will he be forced to do it alone?
And Finally (for Theo)…
Finally, we have Star Trek: Defiant #12 from the team of Christopher Cantwell and Angel Unzueta over at IDW Publishing. I have saying for a while that this series is the best of all of the Star Trek titles currently running under IDW’s umbrella. This issue tells why with its connection to the past TV series (particularly The Next Generation). Hold on to your hats (but keep your mouths closed).
As always, check back here next week at the Comic Book Spot for more picks & news.
