It’s another week and with a new week comes a new week of comic picks. Last week, our slate of picks had a ton of great books. This week, it’s more of the same as some hit titles return to the book shelves. So check out our comic picks for February 15, 2023 below and visit a comic shop near you.
Kicking off our comic picks for February 15, 2023 is the penultimate issue of Eight Billion Genies from Charles Soule and Ryan Browne. Each issue brought us a new aspect of life on earth after the infamous G-Day brought a genie to every person on the face of the planet. How has life changed 80 years post G-Day?
So why, WHY do we have Batgirls #15 on our list this week? Have we (or actually me, just me) turned over a new leaf? Nope. It’s primarily due to the events of issue #14. Apparently, readers saw Cassandra Cain finding the dead body of Stephanie Brown dead in the woods. There’s gotta be hell to pay for this. And our favorite Batgirl is going to extract it all from whoever did it.
Finally, there is Star Trek: Resurgence #4 from Andrew Grant and Josh Hood at IDW. After the trickery ending issue #3 of the video game prequel, the USS Resolute is on the run. There’s only one problem. The ship can only run on impulse power with the angry Talarians in hot pursuit. Could the experimental warp drive from Dr. Leah Brahms help them escape, or will it destroy the ship and everyone on it?
As always, check back here next week at the Comic Book Spot for more picks and news.
